Ms. Carolyne is a respected law practitioner and founding partner of Joachim & Jacobs Attorneys in Tanzania’s business hub – Dar es Salaam. She is licensed to practice law in mainland Tanzania and Zanzibar and has been on practice for over nine (9) years, with key expertise in banking, structured finance, corporate, mergers and acquisition. In banking and finance, Carolyne represents global institutional investors both in the private and public sector. She has advised numerous banks, micro-credits, investment companies and financial institutions on a number of matters, including debt structuring, syndication, creation and registration of securities.

Ms. Muro is also alumnus of the prestigious Mandela Washington Fellowship, which is the flagship program of the Young African Leaders’ Initiative (YALI) – founded by the former U.S President – Barack Obama.
Carolyne is committed to advocating for various policy changes in Tanzania and is currently working on “time spent in custody for inmates awaiting trial”. She says – “This issue is important to me because it involves lives of many who are suffering unjustly. As a lawyer, it is simply my legal and civic duty to address it.”
