Simon Edward Mangesho is a professional accountant working as a trainer and consultant on accounting, taxation and related issues. He is presently a PhD candidate, researching on bargains that happen during implementation of tax reforms in Tanzania. Simon holds B.Com and MBA degrees from the University of Dar es salaam. Professionally, he is a CPA and holds a certificate of competence as an approved trainer/ consultant in IFRSs, IPSASs and ISAs. He teaches accounting and taxation at the University of Dar es salaam Business School, where he has been working for the past 13 years.

He has trained and consulted in different areas including development of accounting manuals, development of internal control systems and financial regulations, business planning, IFRSs application, taxation and accounting for small businesses, as well as financial management and accounting for non-accountants. He has served as a member in Ministerial Advisory Board (MAB) under the Ministry of Finance.
